Day #4 - Fruit!

I slept in today so I'm just now eating my breakfast at noon. But good news, it's fruit!

I stopped the cleanse last night. I just can't keep staying within 5 feet of my toilet for 4 more days. It was awful!

Day # 3 - Not so hot

The cleanse is going well. As well as you can expect a cleanse to go, I suppose.
No fruit for breakfast because all of my fruit is at work....Again, bad planning.
I had oatmeal with organic milk for breakfast, which isn't too bad in my book.
I went shopping for fruit and containers to take my lunch all next week.

The only downfall for today is that we went out for dinner and I had bbq...
....a LOT of bbq.

Not so healthy...but good.
Oh well, tomorrows a new day.

Day # 2 - Better start

No snow day for me today so I had a nice juicy apple for breakfast this morning. And I limited myself to only one cup of coffee. A salad for lunch and I'm on the right track today.

I wasn't too sure this colon cleanse was working until about 15 minutes ago. It's working. Believe me. We'll see if it kickstarts some weight loss.

Bad Planning


Ok we're under a Level 1 Snow Emergency and I probably won't be going in to work tomorrow. And yes, I left the bag of fruit I bought at work. Looks like a snowy trip to the grocery store tomorrow morning.

Day #1....no fruit...

So I woke up this morning and was late for work, almost out of gas and didn't have any fruit. Way to start the day. I did eat breakfast though, a Quaker Oatmeal to go bar. Nowhere near as healthy as fruit, but it's something.I bought a bag of fruit at lunch so I'll be good to go tomorrow.

My co-worker picked today to bring in a GINORMOUS cheese danish but my willpower stood and I didn't touch a bite.

I started a cleanse today as well. A 7 day cleanse. Fingers crossed that it doesn't kill me.

First things first

My first attempt at change is going to be small and easy....Baby steps.

Fruit for breakfast.



I don't eat breakfast. EVER. This, I'm sure, is a bad thing. So I will be eating one whole piece of fruit for breakfast every day. (Or a Fruit2O - I LOVE those!!!)

I need to make a change.

That's the bottom line. I need to make a change. I love where I am in life except for a few key things. I need to take charge and make positive changes towards the following things:

1. My weight. My BMI has now reached the obese point. Not acceptable.

2. Smoking. I've quit too many times to count but it never sticks.

3. Eat healthier. I eat crap. Fried crap. Processed crap. Too much crap.

4. My diabetes. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic. My sugars are in the greatest control of my life but there's always room for improvement.

So, there it is. Out in the world. The things I need to change. I need to change all 4 of these aspects of my life in order to start a family. Let's get started.
